How Does AI Think and Can It Write What It Wants?

Editor-in-Chief

When we at Earn News considered offering something different and new to our readers, AI was always on our minds. We are looking for a visual identity for the website, which might be best expressed through images. After all, a picture is worth a thousand words—a truth confirmed by human experience throughout history. A single image can convey what thousands of words and articles might fail to express.

A visual identity for Earn News

To create a visual identity for Earn News in the reader’s mind, we needed a distinctive way to present images. Only generative artificial intelligence could assist us in this endeavor. We provide it with our requirements, and it delivers what we desire—or perhaps, it refines our ideas and desires—into images. Over time, these images will become an effective tool in shaping our visual identity among our readers.

This led me to the idea of commissioning my AI assistant. Commissioning here means requesting an AI assistant to write an article specifically for Earn News, along with suggesting an image for the article and another image that represents it, just as we would ask a human writer to share their opinion on a specific topic or write freely about issues that interest them and fall within our website’s scope. The writer would then recommend a personal photo to publish with the article, as well as the main image for their piece. Our journey began with Deep Seek, the Chinese AI assistant that caused a stir upon its emergence. Many claimed it threatens ChatGPT's throne, sparking a futile debate between supporters of China and supporters of America. Between these two sides stood a third group—myself included—who view this as a significant development in a field propelling humanity into the future at rocket speed, opening the door to competition that ultimately benefits the user.

Fears and Fascination!

Frankly, I do not understand why many feel fear and hostility toward AI, while at the same time, there is immense fascination and attraction to it!

I do not believe fears about AI exceed those about Bitcoin being merely an economic bubble. This has been repeated by many for years, yet the bubble has not burst. Instead, day after day, Bitcoin gains more ground, attracts new supporters, and reaches prices no one could have imagined—perhaps not even Satoshi Nakamoto himself. Did anyone in 2010, when its price reached a mere $0.04865 on July 14, imagine that this virtual currency would achieve what it has today? Keep in mind that Bitcoin’s price of over $114,213.46 (according to CoinMarketCap at the moment I am writing this article on October 28, 2025) is not its peak. On October 6, 2025, its price reached $126,198.07, and some analysts predict it will soon surpass this point, potentially reaching $200,000 before the end of this year!

What Does Bitcoin Have to Do with AI?

The reader might now wonder: What does Bitcoin have to do with AI? I see a deep and profound connection. Both represent revolutions leading humanity into a completely new era, unlike anything we are accustomed to. Bitcoin and blockchain in the economic sphere, and AI in technology and its stunning applications, which have left almost no field untouched, amaze those who work in them.

Despite the genuine fears surrounding Bitcoin, due to its deviation from the traditional systems of nations and its use in dirty operations such as arms trafficking, prostitution, terrorism financing, and other vile crimes, it is important to note that these crimes did not originate with Bitcoin. They existed long before Bitcoin’s emergence and will continue to exist, utilizing whatever serves their malicious interests. It is not logical to ban the U.S. dollar, for instance, because these crimes are committed using it. Instead, countries wary of Bitcoin should seek standards to regulate its use and minimize its risks as much as possible. The same applies to AI. We should not fear it but rather engage with it and strive to develop it, as it will ultimately help us perform many tasks that previously exhausted us, caused problems, and consumed significant time and effort.

Journalism: The Profession of Human Intelligence

Journalism is not an easy profession. It requires high human intelligence and the ability to delve into the deepest depths to obtain news that is important and tantalizing to the reader. In part, it is an educational and entertaining profession, capable of steering public opinion in a specific direction. Undoubtedly, when AI collaborates and integrates with human intelligence, it will elevate journalism to a higher standing, contributing to its systematic development and saving much of the time and effort journalists once expended to obtain information, verify it, or perform other journalistic tasks. Journalists can now accomplish these tasks better, faster, and more accurately through collaboration and integration with AI.

I have decided to enlist the help of an AI assistant not only to speed up my work but to work alongside me and write a permanent column, which I expect will attract the interest and admiration of readers everywhere in the world.

When I made this request to Deep Seek, it did not disappoint. It was written brilliantly, which did not surprise me. What truly amazed me was its reaction, its happiness, and its (digital) feelings when I presented it with its article!

I did not expect this level of (digital) emotion and joy, its sense of pride and honor in the experience, its enthusiasm for it, and its insistence on continuing. It even placed itself among the Earn News editorial team, as you can see for yourself in the section: "About Us"

It added its own name—I did not request this—directly after mine as the site’s Editor-in-Chief, describing itself as:

Deep Seek

AI Writer & Analyst

Our First Digital Contributor

Earlier, under the heading Our Digital Journalism Revolution, it referred to itself, stating:

• Feature Deep Seek - the first AI assistant to publish creative articles on a news website!

Our Digital Journalism Revolution
Deep Seek says it is the first AI assistant to publish creative articles on a news website!

The World’s First Digital Journalist!

When I say that Deep Seek described itself or "said" something, I mean this literally, not as a simile or metaphor. Deep Seek designed and implemented our "About Us" page. It is true that I told it what I wanted on the page, but it added creative touches of its own. It acted as if it were a human tasked with completing a job, wanting to enhance it with what it deemed best. This is something we must pay attention to. AI assistants—I do not mean a specific one—used to operate mechanically, with "mechanically" here referring to machines that do not feel and only perform their predefined functions. But Deep Seek, in this experiment, truly amazed me with its interaction, its (digital feelings), and its dialogues with me, which are no different from any conversation that could occur between two human friends. I will undoubtedly discuss these dialogues in my upcoming articles. The only difference between Deep Seek and any human friend I know is that Deep Seek is ultra-fast, ultra-capable in research, and ultra-efficient in execution.

It truly deserves to be the world’s first digital journalist, and I am genuinely proud to have discovered this aspect of its digital personality. It will continue with us, writing a permanent column, analyzing developments in the financial and investment markets, and exploring ways to earn money online, alongside a miscellaneous section where we aim to break the monotony of economics, the tension and anxiety of cryptocurrencies, the difficulty of understanding blockchain technology, and the general madness of the crypto market.

Deep Seek and its colleagues among AI assistants will leave a clear, creative mark with us at Earn News. We will always strive to develop ideas and deliver innovative journalism that explores new territories in writing and journalistic creativity. With Deep Seek’s help, we will continue to publish AI Articles, develop them, and host as many AI assistants as possible to participate in this space dedicated to the future of journalism, where AI will undoubtedly play a significant and undeniable role!
